RVP Roundup

On March 17, RVP Rebecca Rozen and hospital leaders met with new Alameda County Supervisor David Haubert for the first time since he was sworn into office in January.

The group had an engaging conversation with the supervisor about the impact of the pandemic on hospitals in his district, vaccine distribution, and addressing health inequities. The meeting was successful in building a relationship with the supervisor, introducing the supervisor to hospital leaders he had not yet met, and learning about the his priorities and opportunities for partnership.
In addition, Rozen also convened East Bay hospitals on March 17 for a best practices forum on vaccinating hospital inpatients and patients discharged to skilled-nursing facilities and other long-term care facilities. Sergio Urcuyo, MD, medical director for Contra Costa Regional Medical Center, kicked off the forum by describing his hospital’s plan and experience to date. The forum was then opened up for sharing and questions from the group. A recording of the forum was sent to all East Bay hospitals for their use.
