- Northern Sierra hospitals
- Hospital Council
In the northern Sierra, attracting and retaining workforce has been an issue for years and has only been made more challenging by the pandemic. When it comes to nursing, getting licensed has been a challenge in and of itself which, of late, is showing significant signs of improvement. For years, CHA has worked with the Licensing Division at the California Board of Registered Nursing to improve the processes for applicants. There is now a web page that allows applicants to see up-to-date information on their application and details on anything that may be deficient. The email@example.com email is also a good place to start for inquiries on licenses. Using these resources, Hospital Council recently helped a travelling nurse practicing in the rural north on emergency status, and facing an imminent need for licensing, get licensed in a matter of days.
