The task force was presented with a pamphlet developed in the state of Nevada that includes education and resources for families whose youth are experiencing a mental health crisis.
Takeaway/Next Steps
A work group was established to develop a similar communication tool to help families navigate youth experiencing a mental health crisis in the Sacramento region. Representatives from NAMI California and public education have recently joined to incorporate the voice of consumers and advocates.
