At all levels of government — local, state, and federal — decisions are made that will dramatically impact how hospitals deliver first-in-class care. For this reason, it’s vital to help elect candidates who share hospital values.
The California Hospital Association Political Action Committee (CHPAC) supports those candidates who champion the important role hospitals play in California health care and will ensure they have strong representation when decisions are made that impact the delivery of health care.
Every year, CHPAC is an integral part of our overall advocacy strategy. Your donation will enhance that strategy by connecting pro-hospital candidates with policies that impact our hospital marketplace. And when it comes to issues such as workers’ compensation, disaster preparedness, health equity, behavioral health, power resiliency, and health insurance plans, we want to make sure we have the best people working for our hospitals.
A donation to CHPAC will see to it that we have a seat at the table for the important conversations — not just for the issues mentioned above, but so many more. However, in the last election cycle, CHPAC was outspent by labor 8 to 1. This is a critically important issue! We can — and must — do more to live up to our promise to represent our members at the highest levels.
Whether Republican or Democrat — we support candidates who are hospital-friendly and care about hospitals and the patients they serve. By working together, we can further our reach and represent hospitals with a unified hospital voice.
Because CHPAC builds support from individual hospital leaders, we are asking you to learn more, contribute, and encourage others to do the same. With elections just around the corner, time is running out to make an impact on our legislative future for the next several years.
