Central Valley’s Regional Approach to Community Health Needs Reduces Cost, Burden

Who

  • Hospitals and public health departments in Fresno, Madera, Tulare, and Kings counties

What

Hospital Council is coordinating a joint Community Health Needs Assessments (CHNA) report for Fresno, Madera, Tulare, and Kings counties.

This is the second time Hospital Council has connected hospitals and local public health departments for this work that aims to improve the health of Central Valley residents. This coordination has been key to reducing the cost and burden of individual community health need assessment focus groups and data collection.

Takeaway/Next Steps

The data collection and analysis are complete. Once this information is delivered to participants, they will take the data to their respective boards to create their individual CHNAs and plan(s).
