The Hospital Council of Northern and Central California is a nonprofit hospital and health system trade association representing more than 200 hospitals in 50 of California’s 58 Counties – from Kern County to the Oregon border. Our membership ranges from small, rural hospitals to large, urban medical centers and represents more than 38,000 licensed beds. The Hospital Council’s mission is to help our member hospitals provide high quality health care and to improve the health of the communities they serve.
This full-time position is primarily responsible for supporting operational activities that serve member interests and overall organizational efficiencies. The administrative coordinator, working at the direction of the administrative director, will support distribution of material to members, event coordination, local government initiatives scanning, and projects supporting Hospital Council operations.
Each person’s job at the Hospital Council is to (1) help our colleagues with thoughtful work, and (2) support all members of the OneTeam in a manner that is proactive and exhibits a positive attitude. All Hospital Council employees must consider that each action and task undertaken should be for the benefit of our member hospitals. Excellent customer service, to each other and to our members, must be our continual objective.
The successful candidate will have at least 3 years of administrative or association experience in a professional environment. Proficiency with MS Office applications, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; excellent communications and listening skills; ability to organize and manage time effectively; excellent customer service skills a must.
