What

As a member of the East Bay EDA’s board of directors, RVP Rebecca Rozen moderated a panel discussion on innovation in health care for the alliance, which included government and business leaders, on May 16.  

Over 90 attendees turned out to hear hospital and physician leaders from John Muir Health, Kaiser Permanente, Sutter Health, Stanford Health Care – Tri Valley, and UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland provide their perspectives and insights on innovation. This included the use of artificial intelligence and other technologies, advancements in medical treatment, and changes to make health care more accessible and affordable while addressing the challenges of health equity and health disparities in the East Bay region. 

Alameda County Supervisor Keith Carson and Mike Thomas, President & CEO of John Muir Health, welcomed attendees and provided opening remarks.
