Upcoming Settlement Claim-Filing Deadline on Aug. 7
Managed Care Advisory Group (MCAG), an Endorsed Business Partner of HealthPlus Share Services, is an expert in class action settlement navigation that has recovered over $40 million for its health care clients in the past year – serving as Hospital Council’s eyes on settlement opportunities for our members. MCAG is pleased to report another round of settlements from pharmacy-related class action settlements, and it will be recovering substantial revenue for its health care clients over the next few months from pharmacy-related class action settlements. In addition, MCAG is preparing to distribute funds from the Lithium Ion Settlement.
There is currently over $100 million available via Pharma/Benefit Plan Settlements. Under these cases, it is generally alleged that businesses with self-insured health plans overpaid for drugs purchased on behalf of their employees due to artificially inflated and/or stabilized prices.
If you missed out on previous opportunities, don’t worry. There are several upcoming settlement opportunities:
- The Zetia Settlement | $70 million | Aug. 7 filing deadline (purchase data required)
- The Exforge Settlement | $30 million | Aug. 18 filing deadline (purchase data required)
- The Payment Card Interchange Fee Settlement | $5.54 billion | TBD filing deadline
In May 2023, there was significant movement in the courts regarding this important settlement. The Second Circuit Court of Appeals remanded the Payment Card Settlement back to the United States District Court, Eastern District of New York. This ruling is a big step toward the resolution of the settlement process.
- Blue Cross Blue Shield Antitrust Litigation for Providers | Settlement Fund TBD | TBD filing deadline
