Resources Available for Hospital Council Members
Merritt Hawkins, a Hospital Council-endorsed business partner, has released a number of resources available for members’ use.
The materials include:
- Merritt Hawkins 2022 Incentive Review and infographic. In its 29th year, it has become the standard benchmark throughout the health care industry used by hospitals, medical groups, and other health care facilities to determine which incentives are customary and competitive in the physician and advance practice health care professional recruitment.
- AMN/Merritt Hawkins 2022 Survey of Physician Appointment Wait Times and Medicare and Medicaid Acceptance Rates and an infographic. First conducted by Merritt Hawkins in 2004, the survey tracks average new patient appointment wait times in five specialties in 15 major metropolitan areas. The overall average wait time now is 26 days, up 8% since 2017, when it last did the survey, and up 24% since 2004, when it first conducted the survey. The survey also tracks the percentage of physicians in the 15 specialties who accept Medicare and Medicaid as forms of payment.
Recent survey/research on radiology recruiting trends. The white paper examines trends in the recruitment of radiologists, including current supply and demand projections. It also looks at compensation in the specialty, the expanding role of radiologists, and recommendations for recruiting these sought-after health care professionals.
