Who
- Assemblymember Catherine Stefani
- South Bay Hospitals, specifically Seton Hospital
What
As we enter the new year, we have experienced turnover not only in hospital leadership, but also in county and state government. Over the next few months, hospital leaders throughout the South Bay will focus on meeting several new county supervisors and elected officials.
As an example, Seton Hospital leadership recently hosted new Assemblymember Catherine Stefani, representatives of the California Hospital Association (CHA), and Hospital Council RVP Jo Coffaro for a tour that included a productive 40-minute conversation. The conversation covered the two Seton hospitals, their seismic challenges, insurer accountability, and the positive wins that hospital leadership has accomplished over the last few years under AHMC Healthcare.
Takeaway/Next Steps
This is one of the many meetings CHA and Hospital Council are coordinating with new incoming assemblymembers. Hospital Council will continue working with CHA and elected officials’ offices to schedule meetings, tours, and educational opportunities.
