The Hospital Quality Institute (HQI) is hosting a complimentary, HQI members-only virtual forum, Using Simulation-Based Training to Prevent Workplace Violence, on July 25 at noon (PT). The forum is an opportunity to advance workplace violence prevention and connect with peers committed to creating safer work environments in hospitals. Registration is open.
As part of HQI’s Community of Practice on Eliminating Workplace Violence, this forum will focus on how a Texas-based hospital has used a simulation lab to train staff to de-escalate, manage, and prevent workplace violence. Multiple approaches to training hospital staff on workplace violence issues will also be discussed.
Marvin Radford Jr., director of workplace violence prevention at the MD Anderson Cancer Center and The University of Texas Police at Houston, will be the feature presenter. He will share details of their experiences, take questions, and lead an interactive conversation about staff training to mitigate workplace violence.
