Partner with MCAG to Maximize Recovery from $2.8 Billion BCBS Provider Settlement

July 29 marks the deadline to file a claim in the $2.8 billion Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) provider settlement, which addresses allegations that BCBS plans engaged in anti-competitive practices, leading to reduced reimbursements for health care providers. This landmark settlement includes more than $17.3 billion in injunctive relief designed to benefit providers over the next decade.

Organizations that provided health care services, equipment, or supplies to patients covered by a BCBS plan between July 24, 2008, and Oct. 4, 2024, are likely eligible for a portion of an upcoming settlement.

Managed Care Advisory Group, LLC (MCAG), a Hospital Council endorsed business partner, can help hospitals recover every dollar to which they are entitled. Register by July 15 — to take advantage of MCAG’s assistance in:

  • Interacting with the settlement administrator
  • Streamlining the data collection process
  • Reviewing operational records and electronic health record data to ensure maximum financial recovery
  • Ensuring all eligible entities are included in the claim
