During the 2021-2022 budget session, the Santa Clara Board of Supervisors gave additional funds to the public health department to help continue and increase their work addressing perinatal equity and black maternal and infant health in our community.
Takeaway/Next Steps
Hospitals have been asked to participate in a working group to discuss best practices, as well as how and what identifiers to collect as we move forward to address historic bias and inequities.
