Who
- Central California Emergency Medical Services Agency (EMSA)
- Public health and nonprofit health care organizations in the Central Valley
What
Hospital Council is partnering with hospitals, public health, and nonprofits to conduct analyses of the health landscape of the Central California EMSA (serving Fresno, Madera, Tulare, and Kings counties).
Currently, Hospital Council is kicking off the counties’ community health needs assessment process, which is a collaboration between hospitals and public health.
In addition, Hospital Council and the California Hospital Association (CHA) support a health care access analysis of Madera County residents in the wake of the Madera Community Hospital closure. This is a joint effort between hospitals, public health, the Central Valley Health Consortium, and California State University, Fresno.
Takeaway/Next Steps
Both projects should be complete by fall.
