SVMS has announced its expansion from a regional to a statewide qualified health information organization by partnering with Dignity Health. SVMS is set to extend its health data exchange services to over 30 Dignity hospitals across the state.
Over a decade ago, the Northern Sierra Section of Hospital Council and its hospital members were founding entities of this nonprofit health information organization, and Hospital Council remains active on its board.
Takeaway/Next Steps
As data sharing becomes more important for quality, efficiency, and compliance, Hospital Council will continue to participate on the SVMS board to support the many independent hospitals, systems, counties, clinics, health plans, and more that depend on data sharing for optimal patient care.
