In a follow-up to the community health needs assessment (CHNA) that hospitals completed in 2022, the East Bay Section has updated its one-page community benefit reports for Alameda and Contra Costa counties. The reports explain the collaborative CHNA process, share the priority health needs that were identified, and provide examples of how hospitals are using community benefit funds to meet key health needs. The reports also describe a few key indicators, which illustrate how hospitals are integral to the local economies of the two counties.
Takeaway
The reports will be used in upcoming meetings with our county supervisors and other elected officials to amplify how hospitals contribute to the health and well-being of the communities they serve.
