A fun weekend at the river turned into a fight for survival after a rattlesnake strike.
After a harrowing journey to find help after being bitten by a rattlesnake, trail maintenance worker Keaton Baker quickly went from wheelchair to walking with crutches at San Joaquin Valley Rehabilitation Hospital. He’s expected to fully recover.
“The people here really care about what they do,” Baker said about his inpatient rehab stay. “It’s very clear. I couldn’t do what they do.”
