NAMI California Toolkit Designed to Raise Awareness of Voluntary Tax Contribution Fund

The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) California is asking for support in promoting the Mental Health Crisis Prevention Voluntary Tax Contribution Fund on California tax returns.

For the fund to continue to be listed on tax returns next year, NAMI California must raise a total of $250,000 in donations. To support these efforts, NAMI has created an affiliate toolkit that includes social media messages for Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter that are designed to amplify the image and profile of the Mental Health Crisis Prevention Voluntary Tax Contribution Fund – Line 445 on Form 540. In addition to social media messages, the toolkit provides additional tools, resources, and support to partner organizations to spread the word and help NAMI California reach its goal.

Donations raised from the voluntary tax contribution fund go toward support and education for law enforcement officials to safely engage people living with a mental health illness and expand successful mental health crisis intervention strategies.
