This week, hospitals throughout our region, California, and the country will be celebrating National Hospital Week. While this is an annual time to recognize the vital roles hospitals and health systems play in our communities, more importantly, it’s an opportunity to celebrate all health care workers — who are essential to their success.

Communities Lifting Communities (CLC), in partnership with the Hospital Association of Southern California (HASC), is working to advance health equity and economic opportunity through the regional collaboration of hospitals, health systems, and partner organizations to collectively address the underlying racial, social, economic, and systemic conditions that fuel health inequities.

    The Department of Health Care Access and Information (HCAI) has made changes to its Hospital Supplier Diversity Report, which hospitals are required to submit annually on their minority, women, LGBT, and disabled veteran business enterprise procurement efforts.
