Upcoming Settlement Claim-Filing Deadline on Aug. 7 

Managed Care Advisory Group (MCAG), an Endorsed Business Partner of HealthPlus Share Services, is an expert in class action settlement navigation that has recovered over $40 million for its health care clients in the past year – serving as Hospital Council’s eyes on settlement opportunities for our members. MCAG is pleased to report another round of settlements from pharmacy-related class action settlements, and it will be recovering substantial revenue for its health care clients over the next few months from pharmacy-related class action settlements. In addition, MCAG is preparing to distribute funds from the Lithium Ion Settlement.

Legislators Need to Understand How Minimum Wage Bill Jeopardizes Hospital Services

A bill that would raise the minimum wage for all health care workers in all settings in California to $21 in 2024 and $25 starting in 2025 is being heard today in the Assembly Labor Committee. The bill also calls for the minimum wage to increase annually by 3.5% or the Consumer Price Index, whichever is lesser.
